Marina specializes in neurocognitive communication disorders including aphasia (language difficulties after stroke or brain injury), apraxia of speech (motor speech disorders), executive function support, and alternative communication for non-speakers. She works with both children and adults across Tennessee and Kentucky.

Absolutely! Family involvement is central to Marina's approach. She provides training on communication strategies, home practice activities, and ways to support progress outside of therapy sessions. Family members are educated on the specific communication disorder and how to best support their loved one.

Yes! Marina has special interest in alternative communication methods including AAC devices, letter boards, and spelling-based systems. She works collaboratively with families to explore and implement these tools, focusing on what already works and expanding communication possibilities.

Your first consultation includes a comprehensive assessment of communication needs, discussion of medical history and goals, explanation of treatment approaches, and development of a personalized therapy plan. Marina takes time to understand your unique situation and answer all your questions.

Marina provides virtual speech therapy services to anyone throughout Tennessee and Kentucky. For in-home services, she serves the greater Nashville area in Tennessee including Portland, Gallatin, White House, Goodlettsville, Springfield, and Cross Plains. In Kentucky, in-home services are available primarily in Franklin areas.

Yes, Marina offers flexible service options including in-home therapy, and virtual sessions. In-home services are available throughout the northern Nashville area in Tennessee, and in Franklin areas of Kentucky. Virtual therapy is available to anyone throughout Tennessee and Kentucky.

Therapy scheduling is flexible and collaborative. Marina works with families to find times that work best for everyone, whether that's weekly sessions, intensive periods, or maintenance schedules. Consistency is important, but flexibility is also provided when needed.

Yes, telehealth options are available for appropriate clients and treatment goals. Some therapy techniques work well virtually, while others may require in-person sessions. Marina will discuss the best format during your consultation based on your specific needs and technology comfort level.
